look, I LOVE the 790 duke and the 1290 Super duke. monsters, both of them. I rode a super duke and no bike on earth has instilled fear like that in me before or since.
but my LORD this is an ill proportioned bike. Why is there such a HUGE gap between the headlight and the rest of the bike? bleg

I’d still ride it if somebody gave me one.

at least the H-D has some more solid proportions. and there isnt some giant fuck off gap between the light and the rest of the body work

The R is slightly better. Slightly. The higher fender makes a little difference.

yea. esp from the side.

No. I like you. But you’re wrong. The headlight shenanigans are no worse on this than on a street triple. I see this as functional and not overly styled just for the sake of style, and that to me is attractive. Polarizing? Maybe. But so many bikes worth riding are.

Yeah... ugliest headlight since the speed triple bug-eyes...
But the thing that gets me about this bike- why the fuck are the fuel tanks right in the bash zone....???
Obviously I get lower center of gravity.. but fuck... How are those not going to get ripped open when bashing through baby heads??

I dont think thats fuel tank, I think thats just plastic cladding.
its just the light sticks out WAAYYY to far from the body work and there is a weird gap there. its significantly worse in profile.

Nope. That’s the fuel tank. Seriously.
But yeah, I’m with you on the ugliness of the light/head unit...

It looks like they were leaving themselves space for larger fairings, fenders, tanks, etc...but then just said “fuck it” and did it as is. I mean, bash on the refresh of the KLR (both for ugliness and still being a dinosaur) but at least the fairing is useable and gives some wind protections as well as a place to mount a compass or a phone or gps or whatever you want.
This thing looks like the worst combo of an adventure tourer and a dirt bike. Dirt bike comfort, adv weight.
